Drake Troutman records ninth-place finish in Winter Freeze opener at Screven Motor Speedway
Before heading up to Georgia, Drake Troutman competed in one last night of DIRTcar UMP Modified week at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) and finished fourth in his preliminary feature. Troutman then unloaded his Super Late Model at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.) on Friday afternoon after Thursday's $5,000-to-win opener was rained out.
Troutman made the $10,000-to-win show on Friday evening and wound up inside the Top-10 in ninth. On Saturday, Drake started third and faded to finish 11th in the $25,000-to-win finale.
