Troutman closes World of Outlaws season with three podiums finishes during World Finals
Drake Troutman was one of 71 Super Late Model drivers in attendance for the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Series finale at The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) as the G.R. Smith Motorsports team closed out the season.
Winning his heat race during the opening night, Troutman started fourth in the 35-lap, $10,000-to-win opener and wound up on the podium in third behind Hudson O'Neal and Brandon Sheppard. Keeping the momentum into the second preliminary night, Drake won his heat again and started on the front-row of the second $10,000-to-win feature of the weekend. Trailing Jonathan Davenport, Troutman recorded a strong second-place finish while Brandon Sheppard completed the podium.
With the finale slated for Saturday evening, Troutman earned a second-row starting spot in the $25,000-to-win feature after finishing fourth in the dash. Drake then finished the WoO season with a third-place finish in the 50-lapper. He finished behind Jonathan Davenport and Hudson O'Neal while Brandon Sheppard and Tyler Erb completed the Top-5.
Drake Troutman officially finished sixth in the final World of Outlaw point standings.
