Ninth-place finish with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Ocala Speedway
Drake Troutman followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to the Sunshine State on Tuesday as the newly rebranded Ocala Speedway (Ocala, Fla.) hosted the two-day Winter Nationals.
In a field of 40 LOLMDS entries, Troutman timed in seventh-fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. Lined up 10th for the opener, Drake muscled forward one spot in the 40-lap affair to register a ninth-place finish.
Racing into Wednesday’s feature with another third-place finish in his heat, Drake was collected in an early tangle that sent him pitside on lap 26.
On Friday evening at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.), Troutman’s night was over after posting a pair of fifth-place finishes in his heat race and B-Main.
The weekend came to an early end on Saturday after Drake scratched from his B-Main following an 11th-place outing in his heat.
