Drake notches Top-5 finish in DJ Troutman Memorial finale at Bedford

Drake Troutman traveled to Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) on Friday afternoon to kick off the D.J. Troutman Memorial, honoring his late father. Drawing a stout field of 67 Modifieds for the two-day event, Troutman followed up the second-fastest time in his group with a heat race win. For another $12,500-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Drake secured his spot into the finale with a heat race victory. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Troutman gained two spots in the 39-lapper to place fifth. He followed Kyle Strickler, Nick Hoffman, Adam Stricker, and Dave Hess Jr. to the checkers.
